General Services

Andrea Phillips joined the City Attorney’s Office in May 2022. She began by prosecuting violations of the Texas Transportation Code, Health and Safety Code, Education Code, Fort Worth City Code, and Class C misdemeanors arising from the Texas Penal Code. As of December 2022, she works on transactional assignments pertaining to public information requests, libraries, public safety, and the municipal court.

Prior Experience

Prior to working for the City, Andrea worked for the Florida Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, as an advocate for the safety, well-being, and permanency of abused, neglected, and abandoned children. Right out of law school, Andrea worked as a temporary legal research assistant for complex criminal defense cases. During law school, Andrea served on the board of her law review, helped victims of human trafficking in an on-campus clinic, and researched for a 4th Amendment article written by the Dean Emeritus. She also interned with a United States Attorney’s Office, State Attorney’s Office, and for a United States District Court Senior Judge. Prior to law school, Andrea was a teacher and worked in various customer service positions.
