Destiney-Ariel Hicks began working for the City Attorney’s Office in January 2021 as a prosecuting attorney. Her primary responsibilities included prosecuting violations of the Texas Transportation Code, Health and Safety Code, Education Code, Fort Worth City Code, and Class C misdemeanors arising from the Texas Penal Code. In September 2023, she was promoted to Assistant City Attorney II in the Litigation Division. Ms. Hicks also assists the General Services section with public information requests.

Prior Experience

Prior to her employment with the city, Ms. Hicks worked as a staff attorney for the Texas Department of Public Safety in its Office of Regulatory Counsel and its Administrative License Revocation Division.
