Rich McCracken joined the City Attorney’s Office in December 2014 as a Prosecuting Attorney.  His work mainly focuses on land use law.  Mr. McCracken provides legal counsel to the City Council, City Manager’s Office, Development Service Department and other departments, boards, and commissions.

Prior Experience

Mr. McCracken was of counsel at Evans, Daniel, Moore, Evans & Biggs from 2010 to 2014, practicing criminal defense and serving as an assistant city attorney for the City of Watauga. Prior to attending law school, Mr. McCracken worked as an adult probation officer in Tarrant County, Texas, and served for nine years in the Texas Army National Guard.
