Wedgwood's 60th Birthday

Next date: Saturday, October 08, 2022 | 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Photo of the Wedgwood library under construction in 1962

The year was 1962.  John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth, Marilyn Monroe serenaded President Kennedy on his birthday, Spider-Man made his first appearance in Marvel comics - and Fort Worth, Texas opened its first branch library.

Come celebrate 60 years of the Wedgwood Branch Library, which opened on Oct. 7, 1962.

The celebration will include special guests, fun programs, 1962 trivia, a slideshow of memories and a special birthday story time. Relive your past and current memories with us at the Wedgwood Branch Library!
