Join us as we welcome Joe Gratts, who is descended from a family of interesting people who lived in Parker County and Fort Worth. Learn about Joe's great-grandfather, Lawson Daniel Gratts, who was once enslaved in Parker County, all the way to his aunt Ella Mae Gratts Shamblee, the first Black librarian of the Fort Worth Public Library.

Your Fort Worth Public Library wants to encourage exploration of history and culture. This program was designed for adults.
