Learn Spanish words and celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by competing in a classic game of La Lotería!

Lotería is played throughout Mexico and resembles bingo-but this game uses pictures instead of numbers! As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library is a location for learners of any age.  We designed this program for families!

Lotería is a staple game in Mexican culture and families. Lotería originated in Italy and came to Mexico through Spain. There are a few early editions of the game, but the most recognized version of Lotería is the “Don Clemente Gallo” rendition introduced into Mexico in 1887 by the French businessman, Don Clemente Jacques.
