Romanian Ribbons at La Gran Biblioteca

Come celebrate Romanian Culture and create your own Martisor design.

Martisor is an old traditional celebration in Romania annually on March 1. Every year people create red and white braided ribbon that they wear; believed to bring a prosperous and healthy year to follow.

Participants will be able to learn all about the intricate style designs and create their own to take home. We'll provide the craft supplies, you provide the friends and imagination. This activity is great for couples and groups. 

As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library is a location for learners of any age.  We designed this program for adult participants.

• Castle Shade by Laurie R King – A mystery set in Romania. Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes must solve a crime here. –
