Dance is the international language of fun! Come join us to celebrate Hispanic heritage month by learning the basic dance steps of Salsa! Do you have two left feet? No problem! We will provide you with footsteps on the floor for you to dance your heart away. While you are here, come check out some fun library music and dance materials to enjoy in the privacy of your own home.
Bigote Party at Diamond Hill/Jarvis
Celebrate famous icons in Hispanic culture who had bigotes (mustaches). Includes a bigote-themed family story time, a make your own bigote craft station, a photo booth, and a ‘Pin the Bigote on Salvador Dalí’ game.
Memory Game - Flags
Use this game to learn to recognize the different flags that represent Hispanic countries-there's even one that looks like the Texas flag!
The original game has been played since it’s publication in the 19th century and has had many different adaptations since. Our deck will include traditional Mexican Lotería themes with an addition of Texas, Fort Worth, and Fort Worth Public Library icons.
