Help make shelter pets warm and fuzzy with blanket kits

In honor of National Rescue Dog Day on May 20, Fort Worth Public Library patrons are invited to create blankets to comfort sheltered pets. The take-and-make kits have all been handed out as of May 6.  Thank you Fort Worth friends!  If you're interested in making some with your own supplies, here is an


 All completed blankets must be returned to any location by June 14, with Library staff delivering the blankets to the Human Society.

“The blankets provide warmth and comfort for animals when they’re in a stressful situation and help them relax and rest when they’re in the shelter,” said Peggy Brown, Outreach & Education coordinator for the Humane Society of North Texas Community Outreach & Education.
