Grants Management includes the overseeing, planning, and reporting of federal, statewide, and local grant funds awarded to the City of Fort Worth. These grant monies are used to provide programming and funding that align with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the State of Texas, and the City of Fort Worth’s community development and affordable housing initiatives.

Administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), CDBG funds aim to address the needs of low-to moderate-income individuals and revitalize neighborhoods. Here are several ways in which CDBG funding contributes to making cities better.

Started in 1986 by the National Community Development Association and other national organizations, Community Development Week highlights CDBG success stories and the need for continued funding of this critically important program.
