IMPORTANT: A permit is required for doing business in all parks and properties owned by the City of Fort Worth.
This includes selling food or drinks, hosting classes (fitness or other types), professional photography, or staging other activities where goods or services are sold. City of Fort Worth Code 24-6 states “It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer to sell any goods, wares, services, or merchandise within any parkways, medians, parks, playgrounds, swimming pools or other recreation areas without the permission of the Park & Recreation Director.”

How to make an online reservation
The Park & Recreation Department maintains close to 300 parks and public spaces citywide and close to 12,495 acres. Consider a park reservation for you next party, event, run, or activity. We have pavilions located throughout many parks and sports fields from basketball to tennis and more.

At the bottom of the Reserve Options page, in green, select the appropriate request:
- Request a Reservation- These requests are tentative until approved by staff. Deposit may be required.
- Pavilion/Fields/Courts- Reserve a pavilion, athletic field, swimming pool or racquetball court immediately. Full payment is due at the time of reservation.
- Reserve by Location- View availability by date and location. Requests are tentative until approved by staff. Deposit my be required.

Once you have made your selection, you will be prompted to create an account. Depending on your reservation, you will either be able to complete the reservation by making a payment, or you will make a tentative reservation. All parks are open 5:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. All reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to departmental approval.
For nonprofit organizations, please provide documentation that demonstrates your organization's tax-exempt or nonprofit status (such as a letter from the Internal Revenue Service, Texas Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate, etc.). The City of Fort Worth parks are reserved by the Park & Recreation Department. Most parks are available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Reservations must include set up and clean up times and may be booked up to one year in advance. Reservations for private events must be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. Reservations for public events must be made a minimum of 45 days prior to the event. Failure to do so may result in denial of the request or a late fee may be charged. Reservations are confirmed and final only once full payment has been received by the Park Reservations Office.
