Evans & Rosedale Urban Village

The Evans & Rosedale urban village is located along W. Rosedale Avenue, east of Interstate 35-W, a short 5 minute drive to downtown Fort Worth. Across I-35 W to the west is John Peter Smith Hospital and the medical district. The pedestrian-friendly environment serves the neighborhood with low-intensity development anchored with several public facilities: the Ella Mae Shamblee Public Library, the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, and two community centers.

A five-block streetscape and plaza on Evans Ave., between East Terrell Ave. and East Rosedale St., was completed with funds from NCTCOG and matching funds from the City of Fort Worth 2014 bond program. On-street bicycle facilities extend the length of the urban village along W. Rosedale and Evans streets.
