Assistant City Manager Valerie Washington

Valerie Washington serves as Assistant City Managers for the City of Fort Worth.

Washington's current portfolio includes Aviation, City Manager’s Office, Code Compliance, Environmental Services and Municipal Court.

Valerie is assigned to several special projects including the Fire Ad Hoc Staffing Committee, 911 Working Group, MedStar, and the Payroll Task Force. She is also Outside of city hall, Valerie serves on the Tarrant Area Food Bank Board and is actively involved with the National Charity League, a mother daughter philanthropy organization. Before accepting the role with Fort Worth in 2015, Valerie worked for the City of Indianapolis and served in various public safety-related departments including Police, Fire, Emergency Management, Animal Care & Control, Citizen Police Complaint Office, and Public Safety Communications. She and her daughter enjoy calling Fort Worth home.
