The Northside Community Center, 1100 N.W. 18th St., will close Dec. 18 for a renovation project expected to last nine to 12 months.

The existing facility will be renovated and rehabilitated to accommodate more meeting space, expand programming and address site related infrastructure and accessibility issues. The project, part of the 2018 Bond program, will cost $5.1 million.

Some of Northside Community Center’s regular programs, such as Best Years Club for seniors, the afterschool program, FW@6 and Community Action Partners operations, will be conducted from the North Tri-Ethnic Community Center, 2950 Roosevelt Ave., during the closure.

The Northside Community Center phone line will move with staff there: 817-392-5992. Patrons may contact staff via email.
