City closing COVID-19 testing sites to support vaccine rollout

Published on February 10, 2021

As of Feb. 10, all of the city-operated testing sites for COVID-19 will be closed. The demand for testing has decreased, and staff members are needed to assist with vaccine distribution.

However, testing will continue to be offered at Tarrant County College-South, Arlington ISD and J.P. Elder Middle School through Texas Division of Emergency Management contractors. Be aware that, due to inclement weather, these sites are scheduled to close on Thursday, Feb. 11 and possibly Friday, Feb. 12.

The TCC-South and Arlington ISD testing sites are open Monday-Saturday unless there is inclement weather. Appointments are required. Register online or text the keyword DOCSTX to 41411. The J.P. Elder Middle School site is open seven days a week, except during inclement weather. Appointments are preferred. Register online.

If sites are closed and you need a test, contact a private health care provider such as your primary care physician, a pharmacy or another reputable provider.
