Several entities worked together to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to the Diamond Hill community this week.
Tarrant County Public Health, MedStar, the Fort Worth Fire Department, Fort Worth Code Compliance and the office of District 2 Councilmember Carlos Flores collaborated to bring no-charge COVID-19 vaccinations to the community, which has been impacted by high numbers of positive cases.
Using Tarrant County Public Health’s database of people who were registered for the Moderna vaccine, residents were contacted to receive the vaccine by appointment at the Diamond Hill Community Center. Four-hundred COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered at the community center. For convenience, second doses of the vaccine will also be administered at the community center in the coming weeks.
“As council member, I will continue to support vaccination pilot programs that protect the health of our residents by bringing COVID-19 vaccines closer to their communities,” Flores said.
