This July, join the City of Fort Worth for Park and Recreation Month as we celebrate how Fort Worth is stronger, more vibrant and more resilient because of parks and recreation.

A variety of activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities, including lighting up downtown. On Friday, July 1, General Worth Square, Burnett Park, New City Hall and Sundance Square will shine bright green in honor of Park and Recreation Month.

Fort Worth Park & Recreation is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association, by inviting the community to share their experiences, memories and stories about what parks and recreation mean to them. NRPA and City of Fort Worth encourage everyone that supports parks and recreation to share how it has improved their quality of life, as well as why their local park and recreation professionals are important to them, on social media with the hashtag #RiseUpJuly.
