Water and sewer mains are being replaced in an area bound by I-35W to the west, Airport Freeway/Hwy. 121 to the north, Wilson Road to the east and Avenue J to the south. After the water and sewer mains are installed the street will be resurfaced.

The affected streets include:

• Driess Street from East Magnolia Avenue to East Myrtle Street (water/paving);

• East 4th Street from Denair Avenue to Brandies Street (water/paving);

• Virginia Avenue from Stella Street to East Annie Street (water/paving);

• Essex Street from Camilla Street to East Vickery Boulevard (water/paving);

• North Ayers Avenue from Meadowbrook Drive to Mt. Vernon Avenue (water/sewer/paving);

• Purington Avenue from East Lancaster Avenue to Ben Avenue (water/paving);

• Harwood Street from Purington Avenue to East Lancaster Avenue (water/paving);

• Wilkinson Avenue from Harwood Street to Barron Street (water/sewer/paving);

• Wilson Road from Meadowbrook Drive to Greenlee Street (water/sewer/paving);

• Wallace Street from East Rosedale Street to Avenue J (water/sewer/paving).

This capital improvement project is in Council District 8 and Council District 4.
