Water & Sanitary Sewer Imrpovements

Approximately 2.27 miles of sanitary sewer pipe, ranging in diameter from 42 inches to 48 inches, is being installed parallel to an existing sewer main - following the alignment of Village Creek.

Construction is being done in three phases.

  • Phase 1 starts approximately 3,200 feet south of Oak Grove Road East, goes south, and ends at FM 1187/Rendon Crowley Road.

  • Phase 2 picks up at FM 1187/Rendon Crowley Road, continues south, and ends at Burleson Retta Road.

  • Phase 3 picks up at Burleson Retta Road and goes south to Southern Oaks Golf and Tennis Club on Southern Oaks Drive.

The new main will tunnel under Burleson Retta Road and FM 1187/Rendon Crowley Road. The end point is north and east of Burleson. Fort Worth Spinks Airport is to the west of the proposed line.

The majority of this new main is located in Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. The construction will also impact Council District 6, Tarrant County Precinct 1, Burleson, Rendon, the Burleson Independent School District and Everman Independent School District.

This improvement will serve future growth in southeast Fort Worth and Burleson, which is a wholesale customer city.

This project is part of the Fort Worth Wastewater Program to alleviate and prevent sanitary sewer overflows in the collection system.
