Fort Worth Animal Care & Control is proud to announce the launch of our newest educational initiative: P.A.W.S. and Think. This creative and heartfelt program focuses on planting the seeds of compassion and responsible pet ownership in the minds of young Fort Worth students.

The idea is simple and powerful: by reaching children early, we can help build a more humane future, reduce the number of stray animals in our community, and help raise up a generation of more compassionate pet owners.

Student Benefits:

FWACC staff are bringing tailored, age-appropriate lessons directly into classrooms across the city. Kids learn everything from what it means to be a responsible pet owner, to how to care for adopted shelter pets, the importance of spaying and neutering, and much more.

And of course, no lesson about pets would be complete without a little paws-on experience! After the presentation, students get a chance to interact with puppies and kittens from our shelters, helping kids overcome any fear and learn how to handle small animals with care and confidence.

Each student also receives a special goodie bag, complete with a custom coloring book and crayons, helping reinforce these valuable lessons at home in a fun, creative way.
