An existing 30-inch in diameter cast iron water main will be replaced on Camp Bowie Boulevard.

This project is being expedited in order to replace the water main before proposed roadway and streetscape improvements begin.

 

The Fort Worth Water Department's cast iron water main initiative was created to reduce the amount of water main breaks. Fort Worth Water management has committed to replacing a minimum of 20 miles of cast iron pipe every year.  

 

This capital improvement project is in Fort Worth Council District 7. Construction will impact the Arlington Heights neighborhood association and Westside Alliance as well as numerous businesses in the Camp Bowie Boulevard corridor and surrounding area.

Landmarks include the University of North Texas Health Science Center and Amon Carter Museum.

Project Meeting

Fort Worth Water is hosting a community construction meeting for the Camp Bowie – Montgomery to Clifton – Cast Iron Water Main Replacement project on Thursday, May 2, 2024. The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is our host.

This meeting will take place at 2 pm., in Classroom 250 in the IREB building at 3430 Camp Bowie Boulevard. Parking is available in Garage 5, adjacent to the IREB. A representative will be on site to assist with access.
