Upcoming Road/Lane Closures
The dates are estimates based on the best available information from the contractor, weather permitting.
- Eagle Pier Way is closed to traffic between Boat Club Road and Tide Lane. The road is expected to reopen by early January, when the road repairs are complete.
- Starting Sept. 3, Golf Club Drive will be closed in both directions between Spring Street and Boat Club Road. The closure is anticipated to take a week while the 54-inch water line is installed in Boat Club Road crossing Golf Club Drive.
- Starting Sept. 10, the westbound lanes on Golf Club Drive between Boat Club Road and Spring Street will be closed for two months. There will be one lane of traffic in each direction using the eastbound lanes.
- Once the work in Golf Club Drive is complete, Spring Street will be reduced to one lane of northbound traffic only. The southbound lane will be closed to all traffic while the 54-inch pipe is installed.
Tree trimming:
Trees in the median on Golf Club Way at Boat Club Road will be trimmed to accommodate the construction activity.
August 28, 2026 Update
Boat Club Road
- The water pipeline is within Boat Club Road from Eagle Pier Way to Golf Club Drive.
- The contractor has made substantial progress with two crews working – one laying the pipe going north and the other laying the pipe going south. More than 2,200 feet of the 4,151 feet in Boat Club Road is installed.
- The new pipeline is in the northbound lanes from the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant to just north of W.J. Boaz/Eagle Ranch Parkway.
- The new pipeline is in the southbound lanes from north of W.J. Boaz/Eagle Ranch Parkway to Golf Club Drive.
- Traffic on Boat Club Road is restricted to one lane in each direction using the southbound lanes south of W.J. Boaz/Eagle Ranch Parkway and the northbound lanes north of W.J. Boaz/Eagle Ranch Parkway.
- The contractor anticipates completing the Boat Club Road pipeline installation by the end of September and the road repairs by early November, weather permitting.
Lake Country Area
- From Boat Club Road, the northern portion of new water line turns west onto Golf Drive, north onto Spring Street and then along Lake Country Drive to south of Sandcastle Court. The line turns north across open terrain for most of the remaining construction in Phase 1.
- The contractor will initiate traffic control measures on Golf Club Drive and Spring Street next week.
- Construction in Golf Club Drive will begin at the end of next week.
- Construction in Spring Street will begin in mid-September.
Villages of Eagle Mountain Area
- From Boat Club Road, the southern portion of the new water line turns east onto Eagle Pier Way for about 300 feet before turning south through open land on its route south to the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant.
- Traffic control measures on Eagle Pier Way were implemented a month ago. Eagle Pier Way is close to traffic between Boat Club Road and Tide Lane. The road is expected to reopen by early January, when the road repairs are complete.
Phase 2 is from the intersection of Fleming Ranch Road and Boat Club Road to the intersection of Bonds Ranch Road and Business Highway 287. This phase is under construction and is mostly through undeveloped land.
Phase 3 is from intersection of Bonds Ranch Road and Business Highway 287 to the intersection of Peden Road and Business Highway 287. The construction contract is scheduled for City Council action on Sept. 29.
Phase 4 is from the intersection of Peden Road and Business Highway 287 to the intersection of Blue Mound Road and Wagley Robertson Road. The construction contract is scheduled for City Council action on Sept. 29.

The contractor will begin laying water pipe in Boat Club Road starting on Wednesday, July 22. The work will start at the intersection of Boat Club Road and W.J. Boaz/Eagle Ranch Parkway. To expedite construction, the contractor will have two crews working, with one laying the pipe going north and the other laying the pipe going south.
