Northside III 54-inch Water Transmission Main Alignment and Land Study

This alignment study focuses on the proposed water transmission main that would extend from the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant (6801 Bowman Roberts Road) at the southwest end, to the existing 36-inch in diameter Northside III water main at Willow Springs Road -  at the Blue Mound Road West intersection - to the northeast.

 

This capital improvement project area is bound by:

  • Blue Mound Road at Willow Springs Road to the north;
  • Wagley Robertson Road and Blue Mound Road to the east;
  • Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant/Dozier Elementary/Longhorn Lane to the south;
  • And Eagle Mountain Country Club to the west.

 

This project includes four phases.

  • Phase 1 starts at the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant - located at 6801 Bowman Roberts Road - to the intersection of Fleming Ranch Road and Boat Club Road. This phase includes three water mains that range in diameter from 8-inches up to 54-inches in diameter. - Under Construction.

  • Phase 2 starts at the intersection of Fleming Ranch Road and Boat Club Road, then continues to the intersection of Bonds Ranch Road and Business Highway 287. This phase includes two water mains which range between 54 inches in diameter and 24-inch inches in diameter. Under Construction.

  • Phase 3 starts at the intersection of Bonds Ranch Road and Business Highway 287, and continues to the intersection of Peden Road and Business Highway 287. This phase includes one water main that is 54-inches in diameter.

  • Phase 4 starts at the intersection of Peden Road and Business Highway 287, and extends to the intersection of Blue Mound Road and Wagley Robertson Road. This phase includes water mains that range in diameter from 12-inches up to 54-inches.

 

The southern part of the project is in Fort Worth Council District 7 and Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. The northern end is in Fort Worth Council District 10 and Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. 

 

The proposed water transmission main will provide increased reliability for increasing and future growth in the far north area of Fort Worth.

 

The study will impact the Northwest Fort Worth neighborhood alliance.
