The City of Fort Worth Community Engagement Office is excited to offer a new virtual workshop series for leaders and board members of our registered Neighborhood Associations and Homeowners Associations.
This free five-part series is all about giving neighborhood leaders practical ideas, tools and resources they can use right away. We’ll talk about ways to increase participation, improve communication, build stronger connections between neighbors and work more effectively with the City.
We also want to learn from each other. The workshops will include time to share ideas, talk about what’s working (and what isn’t!) and learn from other neighborhood leaders across Fort Worth.
Workshop Schedule
All workshops are held virtually on Mondays from 6 to 7 p.m.
Monday, September 28, 2026: Introduction to the Community Engagement Office & Neighborhood Essentials
We’ll kick off the series by sharing how the Community Engagement Office supports Fort Worth neighborhoods, resources available to our registered associations and some of the essentials that can help neighborhood leaders stay connected, informed and engaged.
Monday, October 12, 2026: Increasing Neighborhood Participation & Communication Tools for Leaders
Having trouble getting people to meetings and events? You’re not alone. We’ll share practical ideas for reaching more residents, increasing participation and getting the word out through social media, email, flyers and other communication tools.
Monday, October 26, 2026: Building Stronger Neighborhood Connections
Strong neighborhoods start with neighbors knowing neighbors. We’ll talk about ways to bring people together, welcome new residents, create a stronger sense of community and build neighborhood pride.
Monday, November 9, 2026: Planning Engaging Hybrid, Virtual & In-Person Meetings
Let’s make neighborhood meetings something people actually want to attend! We’ll share ideas and tools for planning meetings that are welcoming, useful and engaging, whether you’re meeting in person, virtually or using a hybrid format.
Monday, November 30, 2026: Working Effectively with the City
Knowing who to contact and how City processes work can make a big difference. We’ll share tips for navigating City resources, communicating with departments and building productive relationships with City staff.
