Join us to experience stories and songs about Juneteenth, the holiday that celebrates when the news of the emancipation of slaves was delivered in Texas on June 19, 1865. Participants will have a chance to create a Juneteenth flag.
The Fort Worth Public Library celebrates art, history and culture in all its forms. We designed the program for families to learn about Juneteenth and its importance.
This program is a collaboration between the Fort Worth History Center, the Tarrant County Black Historical and Genealogical Society, and the National Juneteenth Museum.
