The new Como Community Center replaced the original building on Horne Street which was built in 1970, and now provides plenty of modern amenities for this historic neighborhood. In addition to the full-size gymnasium for the Como Lions to play, there's a fitness room, a teaching kitchen, a sensory playground, several lounges and gaming areas, and an entire wing dedicated exclusively to senior programs. Como Community Center is also the primary location for residents to access Community Action Partners (CAP) services in southwest Fort Worth.
Community center memberships can be purchased online. Center membership cards are required for participation in all programs and to access the facility for open play activities.
