The Fort Worth City Council work session was conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at City Hall.

Presentations

  • Tarrant County 911 District proposed budget. The district presented its fiscal year 2023 budget. New methods of contacting 911 services will require dedicated funds to adopt the needed technology and infrastructure.
  • Briefing on Heritage Park. Andy Taft of Downtown Fort Worth Inc. updated a plan to renovate Heritage Park and Paddock Park, both on the north side of the Tarrant County Courthouse, into a showplace that connects downtown with the Trinity River.
  • Transportation impact fees. The Development Services Department presented the results of its 2022 Transportation Impact Fee Study. A City Council public hearing is scheduled for Sept. 27, followed by Council votes on Oct. 4 and Oct. 25 regarding adopting the study, maximum fees and the collection rate.
