Fort Worth City Council met Tuesday, Dec. 13, at City Hall.

  • Council designated the Historic Marine neighborhood as the Neighborhood Improvement Program target area for fiscal year 2023 and supported the use of $3,887,650 in capital funds for the program.
  • Council voted to sell the building housing the Central Library, 500 W. Third St., for $18 million to Dart Interests LLC.
  • Following a public hearing, Council delayed a decision on renewing the City’s youth curfew ordinance for another three years.
  • Council approved contracts for new playground equipment and other improvements at several City parks.
  • Council authorized a lease with 5th Street Partners LP for a building at 2929 W. Fifth St. to be used as the West Seventh Street Substation by the Fort Worth Police Department.
  • A resolution endorses District 5 Councilmember Gyna M. Bivens’ appointment to the Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee of the National League of Cities.
  • Among 19 zoning cases on the agenda, Council unanimously approved plans to build more apartments in the Montgomery Plaza area.
  • Council approved a plan that would amend the design guidelines, land use and form-based code for development in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
