City Council meeting

The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the Council Chamber on the second floor of City Hall, 200 Texas St.

  • Members will vote on the fiscal year 2023 budget for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
  • Council resolutions on the agenda support the development of a National Juneteenth Museum in Fort Worth, and support the mission statement of the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth Regional Coordination Committee.
  • Another Council resolution would amend the City Council’s rules of procedure to modify portions of the public participation rule, clarify the amount of time allotted per speaker and indicate when speakers would be recognized to address Council.
  • The Council will vote on several contracts providing operating funds to community partners for programs aimed at reducing crime in Fort Worth.
  • Public hearings will address the 2023 Crime Control and Prevention District budget and the City of Fort Worth budget.
  • Public hearings will be conducted for several public improvement districts.
  • Members will vote on authorizing agreements with several independent school districts and the Lena Pope Home to operate the School Resource Officer Program for $6.7 million, funded by the Crime Control and Prevention District.
  • Four proclamations will be presented: Latino Business Day; Hispanic Heritage Month; National Service Dog Month; and National Night Out.
  • There are 16 zoning cases on the agenda.
