Water & Sanitary Sewer Imrpovements

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Woodland Avenue to the north, 5th Avenue to the east, West Gambrell Street to the south, and Stadium Drive and Granbury Road to the west.

 

As part of this project, the existing 24-inch in diameter cast iron water main - located along the west right-of-way line of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (BNSF) - will be abandoned and a new 24-inch in diameter water main will be constructed in Dickson Street, Ryan Avenue and Biddison Street. 

 

This contract will provide for additional survey and design for the replacement or relocation of cast iron water mains and deteriorated sewer  mains.

Cast iron water mains will be replaced on:

  • Ryan Avenue
  • 8th Avenue
  • Ripy Street
  • Dickson Street
  • Biddison Street
  • James Avenue
  • Bolt Street

 

Fort Worth Council District 9 – Rosemont neighborhood association and South Hills neighborhood association

  • West Bolt Street from Stadium Drive to Lubbock Avenue (water and sewer)
  • Harwen Terrace - between West Seminary Drive and West Gambrell Street (water)

 

Fort Worth Council District 11 – Rosemont neighborhood association

  • 8th Avenue from West Biddison Street to West Ripy Street (water)
  • West Ripy Street from Ripy Court to Ryan Avenue (water and sewer)
  • Ryan Avenue from West Dickson to Biddison Street (water )
  • Dickson Street from the west Right-of-Way line of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad to Ryan Avenue (water)
  • Biddison Street from Ryan Avenue to 130 feet west (water)
  • Ripy  Street from Ryan Avenue to the east 550 feet (water and sewer)
  • James Avenue from West Dickson Street then north 210 feet then northeast 250 feet (water)

 

Fort Worth Council Districts 9 and 11 – Rosemont neighborhood association

  • Easement east of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad from Biddison Street, then north 190 feet then east 210 feet (water)

 

The Bolt Street segment will impact traffic around Alice Contreras Elementary School, which is located between Cockrell Avenue and Lubbock Avenue, south of West Bolt Street.

Construction may impact the Westcliff neighborhood association and South Hills neighborhood association. 

This project was previously named 8th Avenue, Ripy, Bolt and Harwen Terrace Water and Sewer Improvements.
