Water mains and sewer mains will be replaced in an area that is bound by Airport Freeway to the north, Riverside Drive and Swayne Avenue to the east, South Sylvania Avenue at Riverside Drive to the south, and the Trinity River and South Sylvania Avenue to the west.

Water and Sewer Main Replacements

• South Retta Street from South Sylvania Avenue to Huffman Street
• Van Horn Avenue from South Retta Street to Baurline Street
• Baurline Street from Van Horn Avenue to Gibson Street
• Ennis Street from South Judkins Street to Baurline Street
• LaSalle Street from South Sylvania Avenue to Retta Street
• 12th Street from South Sylvania Avenue to Retta Street

Sewer Main Replacements

• Easement west of Sylvania Avenue from 120 feet west of the South Sylvania Avenue/12th Street intersection to 460 feet north
• Easement east of Riverside Drive from 240 feet north of the Riverside Drive/Huffman Street intersection to 510 feet east northwesterly
• Easement between Sylvania Avenue and Paradise Street from 130 feet north of the Trinity Railway Express tracks to Galvez Avenue
• Easement south of Galvez Avenue from 230 feet east of South Judkins Street to 75 feet east
• Alley between 4th Street and Galvez Avenue from South Judkins Street to 831 feet west
• Alley between Paradise Street and Baurline Street from 80 feet south of Chenault Street to 400 feet south
• Alley between Chenault Street and 4th Street from 80 feet south of Chenault Street to 450 feet east
• Alley between Chenault Street and 4th Street from South Chandler Avenue to South Judkins Street
• Alley between 1st Street and Chenault Street from North Chandler Avenue to South Judkins Street
• 1st Street from North Chandler Avenue to North Judkins Street
• Easement between Rouse Street and 1st Street from Grace Avenue to Emma Street

Landmarks include Andrew Doc Sessions Community Center, Tommie B Williams Elementary School, the West Fork of the Trinity River, Gid Hooper Park and  Louella Bales Baker Park.

This capital improvement project is in Council District 11. Construction will impact the United Riverside neighborhood association and Riverside Alliance.
