Laetitia Coleman Brown

Litigation Division

Laetitia Coleman Brown joined the City Attorney’s Office in 1997 as a prosecuting attorney. In January 2000, she moved to the Litigation Division, and since that time she has represented the City in various types of litigation, including Code litigation, Texas Tort Claims Act litigation and Section 1983 civil rights litigation.  Ms. Coleman Brown has also served as the legal advisor to the Fort Worth Police Department and the advisor to the City on First Amendment activities and Pension.  Ms. Coleman Brown served as section chief of the Public Safety Section of the City Attorney’s Office and the Chief Prosecutor for the Prosecutor’s Office until becoming Deputy City Attorney of the Litigation Division in January of 2021.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, Ms. Coleman Brown served as a Briefing Attorney for the Honorable Lee Ann Dauphinot, Second District Court of Appeals.  She also practiced law as a personal injury defense attorney with Glenn Holley and Associates.
