Don't miss the Amped-Up Music Tour!

Join us for our second Amped-Up Music Tour, featuring concerts with local artists, free, at the library! First up on the Tour is Roane, a local rapper, engineer, DJ and producer who's immersed himself in the Fort Worth culture through his love of music. Opening the event will be Kaila Harrison, a powerhouse singer-songwriter with a passion that knows no bounds!

About Roane

I engineer, DJ, and produce for a variety of local artists, including newly accepted Amplify 817 members Jaeboy and ItsErnie. I also dropped my first album 'Twisted' in October 2021. On the record, I spoke about the struggle of balancing being the person God has called you to be vs the person you want to be. As an artist, I'm focusing heavily on the importance of balance, and my next project "Arial Black" set to release in January 2023 reflects that mindset with regards to art vs monetization.

In 2021, I was a full time Fort Worth artist, living exclusively off of music generated revenue, and the pursuit of financial freedom caused me to neglect the artistic aspect of music creation that caused me to fall in love with music in the first place. I initially fell in love with the Fort Worth music scene through TRNDMusic. I recorded down with them in July 2020 and eventually signed on as an artist in October 2020. We spent the next year and a half, meeting amazing people around the city, brainstorming at Pop's Cigar Lounge on 7th Street before it was eventually closed, partying at Ampersand, networking at the monthly HearFortWorth mixer, and really immersing ourselves in Fort Worth culture. It's been a whirlwind journey, but an absolute blast.
