Explore the art of Japanese sushi, from maki to temaki, and learn how to make your own with guidance from chef Hao Tran. This free adult program has space for up to 24 people. Registration is required and opens April 10. Please email LIB_AdultServices@fortworthtexas.gov to register.
As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library is a location for learners of any age. We designed this program for adults who are looking to boost their culinary skills.
About the Presenter
Hao Tran’s family immigrated from Vietnam in 1975 and settled in south Arlington. In 1990, she moved to Fort Worth and has the city become more vibrant. She is a mother and high school food science and culinary arts teacher. She loves to share her cooking passion by doing collaborative dinners, pop-ups, classes and event catering all over the DFW. She created Lost in the Sauce as the visual to food adventures not only from her travels but the local food scene. Hao loves to eat, travel and share culturally inspired foods. She is the owner of Hao’s Grocery & Cafe, a local food and Asian market, where dumplings are the specialty.
Hao’s Grocery & Café’s honors and awards include Best of Fort Worth Asian Food 2021; Best of Fort Worth Pop-Up 2020 (Readers’ Choice); and being featured in Texas Highways magazine March 2021, appearing on the cover of November 2023 360 West magazine and Best of Fort Worth Grocery, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
