Give your child a boost and foster a lifelong love of learning with 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. The Fort Worth Public Library is here to support you at every step to help make reading fun!
Each book your child reads or listens as someone reads to them counts toward the goal of 1,000 books before they enter kindergarten.
Attend regular story times at your favorite Fort Worth Public Library and browse our vibrant collection of books available for checkout. Reading the same book more than once counts each time it is read.
Track your child’s reading by registering online using the Beanstack app or come into any of our branches to pick up a special 1000 Books Before Kindergarten booklet.
Reading one book a day equals 365 books in a year; keep up that pace and your child with reach the 1,000-book goal in three years. Reading more than one book a day can put your child on the fast track!
As your child reaches reading milestones along the way, we are here to celebrate their achievements.
