Your Fort Worth Public Library is proudly hosting four competitors from the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

Join us May 16-18 for complimentary concerts featuring some of the most gifted pianists from around the world as a part of the Adopt-A-Competitor initiative.

  • Librarians will host question and answer sessions with the musicians following their concerts.
  • Learn more about their personal journeys as pianists and performers, their cultural influences and more.
  • Help us show our Fort Worth hospitality as we welcome these international competitors to our City before the competition begins

Cliburn in the Community logo First held in 1962, the quadrennial Van Cliburn International Piano Competition quickly established itself as an event that inspires and engages the local community, while gracing the international stage. The Cliburn Competition is one of the few musical events in the world to arrange for competitors to stay with host families, often resulting in close, long-term relationships: this has resulted in southern hospitality becoming a singular trademark of the Cliburn Competition.
