Contest a parking citation by mail

The registered vehicle owner or operator may contest a parking citation by mail within 21 calendar days from the date of citation. The envelope containing the correspondence must be postmarked no later than 21 calendar days from the date of the citation.

By contesting a citation by mail, the person waives the right to an in-person hearing before a hearing officer.

To contest a citation by mail, send the citation, along with all written statements and evidence to:

If dissatisfied with the hearing officer’s decision, the person found liable may appeal to the Fort Worth Municipal Court no later than 30 days after the filing of the hearing officer’s order.
