Street & Transportation Improvements

Phase 1- from Loop 820 to Salado Trail. This section of roadway will be reconstructed as a four-lane, divided concrete arterial. This project includes a landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the roadway, drainage system improvements, and new water and sewer lines. A roundabout will be constructed at the entrance to the Trinity Lakes Development, and a traffic signal will be reconstructed at the Salado Trail intersection. After project completion, Trinity Boulevard will no longer be in a floodplain.

Phase 1 Phase 1 is currently in construction, please see Project Phasing below for further detail.  Construction will be phased to keep one lane of traffic open in each direction.  TxDOT, Trinity Railway Express and private development also have construction in the area.  It is advised to expect delays if no other route is available.

Phase 2 - from Salado Trail to Thames Trail. A four-lane, divided concrete arterial is planned for this section of Trinity Boulevard. A landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the road, drainage improvements and water and sewer lines will be constructed.
