This large City project is comprehensive and involves major improvements along Trinity Boulevard.

Phase 1 - from Loop 820 to Salado Trail.

This section of roadway will be reconstructed as a four-lane, divided concrete arterial. This project includes a landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the roadway and drainage system improvements.

A roundabout will be constructed at the entrance to the Trinity Lakes Development and a traffic signal will be reconstructed at the Salado Trail intersection. After project completion, Trinity Boulevard will no longer be in a floodplain.

Phase 2 - from Salado Trail to Thames Trail.

A four-lane, divided concrete arterial is planned for this section of Trinity Boulevard. A landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the road, drainage improvements and water and sewer lines will be constructed. 

This project is in Council District 5.

November 2025 Project Update

Phase 1: 

• Oncor has removed the majority of their poles. The roadway contractor can finish the rest of the project now.

• Contractor will be finishing remaining sidewalk, illumination, traffic signal, irrigation and landscaping through December 2025.

Phase 2:

• Contractor has paved north lanes, will look to move traffic to new concrete in November.
• Shoreside to be open prior to Thanksgiving

Phase 3:  The contractor will perform necessary night work on Sunday, November 9, and Sunday, November 16. This will enable the contractor to complete the waterline and reopen Shoreside Parkway to traffic prior to the Thanksgiving weekend."
