UPDATE: Construction on the 36-inch in diameter water transmission main will start on July 31, 2023 at Aledo Road. This part of the transmission  main extends from Aledo Road south to the elevated storage tank. Traffic on Aledo Road will not be impacted. Drivers will see construction equipment on both sides of Aledo Road. 

 

Growth within west Fort Worth and its extraterritorial jurisdiction requires continuous improvements to the water distribution system. This includes providing and maintaining reliable water service to existing and proposed developments within the Westside pressure planes.

 

This elevated storage tank will provide additional storage capacity in the Westside IV Pressure Plane. The 36-inch water transmission main will pump/provide the needed water to the elevated storage tank.

 

This project is located in Council District 3 and the City of Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. The site is northeast of FM 1187, east of the Parker County/Tarrant County line, south of I-20 and west of Markum Ranch Road.
