Stockyard Sign The Fort Worth Stockyards are a world-renowned symbol of Cowtown's heritage, drawing 3 million visitors annually. Since 2014, the City of Fort Worth has been working with citizens, developers, landowners and other interested parties to redevelop and revitalize the Stockyards.

Currently, the city is working through the process of establishing a Historic District, Design Overlay District and initiating a Form-based Code process to help preserve the area's character while allowing for new development.
