The City Council voted Tuesday to sell Fort Worth’s Trademark Property Co. a 0.44-acre tract the City owns at Vickery Boulevard and Hemphill Street for a planned residential development.
Trademark’s Vickery Village Development LLC wants to build about 235 apartments, several townhomes, a restaurant and some parks on the north side of Vickery, between Hemphill and Adams streets.
The City will place the $225,000 in sale proceeds in escrow. Later, the money will be granted to the developer after certain criteria are met, including spending at least $40 million on the project and completing it by Dec. 31, 2026.
In August, the Tax Increment Finance 4 board agreed to commit $3.3 million toward street, streetscape and public improvements at the site.
