Existing water and sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by White Settlement Road to the north, University Drive to the east, West 5^th Street to the south and Virginia Place to the west. The streets and easements are located in Council District 7 and Council District 9.

The affected area includes the following.

Council District 7 and Council District 9

• West 4th Street from University Drive to Monticello Drive (water)
• West 5th Street from University Drive to Bailey Avenue (water)
• Hamilton Avenue from University Drive to Virginia Place (water)
• Alley between 4th Street and 5th Street from 175 feet west of Bailey Avenue to Barden Street (sewer)

Council District 7

• West 5th Street from Monticello Drive to Arch Adams Street (water)
• Virginia Place from Monticello Drive to Potomac Avenue (water)
• Lenox Drive from Dorothy Lane to Potomac Avenue (water)
• Easement between Monticello Drive and Hamilton Avenue from Dorothy Lane to west 851 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Lenox Drive and West 4th Street from Dorothy Lane to west 683 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Lenox Drive and West 4th Street from Potomac Avenue  south 195 feet to Potomac Avenue north 185 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Lenox Drive and West 4th Street from 280 feet northwest of the Potomac Avenue/West 4th Street Intersection to west 340 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Hamilton Avenue and Potomac Avenue from Lenox Drive to Monticello Drive (sewer)
• Lenox Avenue, Potomac Avenue and Hamilton Avenue - reroute of a sewer main currently located on private property in the rear lots to the public right-of-way on the three avenues.

Council District 9

• West 5th Street from University Drive to Carroll Street (water and sewer)
• West 6^th Street from University Drive to Carroll Street (water and sewer) 

   

This project impacts the Monticello neighborhood association, Linwood neighborhood association, West 7th neighborhood alliance and the Westside Alliance.
