This large City project is comprehensive and involves major improvements along Trinity Boulevard.

Phase 1 - from Loop 820 to Salado Trail.

This section of roadway will be reconstructed as a four-lane, divided concrete arterial. This project includes a landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the roadway and drainage system improvements.

A roundabout will be constructed at the entrance to the Trinity Lakes Development and a traffic signal will be reconstructed at the Salado Trail intersection. After project completion, Trinity Boulevard will no longer be in a floodplain.

Phase 2 - from Salado Trail to Thames Trail.

A four-lane, divided concrete arterial is planned for this section of Trinity Boulevard. A landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the road, drainage improvements and water and sewer lines will be constructed. 

 

This project is in Council District 5.

 

December 2025 Project Update

Phase 1: 

  • Oncor has removed the majority of their poles. The roadway contractor can finish the rest of the project now.
  • Contractor will be finishing remaining sidewalk, illumination, traffic signal, irrigation and landscaping through January 2026.

Phase 2:

  • Contractor will pave the remaining east connection of North Lanes at Thames Trail.  Contractor will look to have traffic on remaining North Lanes by end of December.

  • Contractor will start grading and paving South Lanes in January 2026.  Expect to see Seguin Trail closed to traffic at times for grading and paving.
