Wholesale water, wastewater and reclaimed water customers

Other cities and entities within Tarrant, Johnson, Denton and Parker counties contract with Fort Worth for water, wastewater and reclaimed water services. These wholesale customers resell the water, wastewater or reclaimed water services to customers in their service areas.

Some entities are wholesale customers for more than one service. Others receive only one of the services from Fort Worth. Some entities have other sources of water supply and only use Fort Worth services in an emergency.

By contract, wholesale customers are required to collect Fort Worth's impact fees for development in their service area.

A tool is available to estimate the impact fees due.

The Water and Wastewater Impact Fee Estimator is simple to use:

  • Download the Excel file.(XLSX, 62KB)
  • Enter the plat approval date.
  • Enter the appropriate building permit insurance date.
  • Enter the existing water meter size serving the lot.
  • Enter the proposed water meter size for the lot.
  • Enter the percent of water impact fee due. The percent of the water impact fee due is 100 percent, except for Dalworthington Gardens, Kennedale, North Richland Hills and Dall-Fort Worth International Airport, who receive part of their daily water supply from another provider.
  • The program will calculate the project’s estimated water and wastewater impact fee.

Additional information about impact fees is available through the link below.
