Washington oversees the Aviation, Environmental Services, Office of the Medical Director, and Property Management departments.
She is assigned to several special projects including the Fire Ad Hoc Staffing Committee, 911 Working Group, MedStar and the Payroll Task Force.
Before accepting the role with Fort Worth in 2015, Washington worked for the City of Indianapolis and served in various public safety-related departments including Police, Fire, Emergency Management, Animal Care & Control, Citizen Police Complaint Office and Public Safety Communications.
Outside of City Hall, she sits on the Tarrant Area Food Bank Board and is actively involved with the National Charity League, a mother-daughter philanthropy organization. She and her daughter enjoy calling Fort Worth home.
