This program is offered at no cost. Participants must have a valid membership.

Summer Camp

Details:
Program is from June 9 - July 24.
Monday - Thursday 
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost:
$75 fee for the entire summer (fee includes registration, field trips, shirt, and swag) 
Scholarships available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can teens attend the Rising Stars Youth Leadership Academy at more than one center during the school-year?

Yes, teens are currently welcome to take part in programs at multiple locations, at no cost.  This is very common in the program. Each time youth participate they learn something new.

 

If my child was enrolled in the Summer Camp, do I need to register again for the school year?

Yes, enrollment will be online or can be completed at any City of Fort Worth Community Center. All participants must have a City of Fort Worth membership card.

 

Is dinner provided to participants?

Meals are provided on select nights, but your child will receive snacks.

Will I need to provide transportation for my teen to and from the center or any field trip site?

We only provide transportation from our centers to field trip sites. Participants are responsible for finding transportation to and from the centers.

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available for individuals in need of financial assistance.

Families must meet the criteria below:

  • Is a HUD Section 8 or subsidized housing recipient
  • Receives SNAP, CHIP or WIC
  • Receives Medicaid
  • Is currently a Community Action Partners client
