The city’s Park & Recreation Department will conduct a project meeting to discuss plans for Forest Park Pool.

The adopted Citywide Aquatic Master Plan calls for installing enhanced neighborhood family aquatic centers in five regions of the city (north, south, east, west and central). The proposed 2022 Bond Program includes funding for two such aquatic centers, one of which would be at Forest Park.

The meeting to discuss the plan will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Forest Park Pool, 2850 Park Place Ave.

Elements of the proposed new facility include a bathhouse, zero-depth entry, a large slide, four 25-yard lap lanes and a leisure pool area with a large interactive play feature.
