The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department’s project scope includes updating the Gateway Park Master Plan and advancing the initial development of a Phase 1 construction project, as prioritized through the master planning process. The updated master plan incorporates elements
from previous plans, accounts for interim improvements already completed, and identifies future enhancements informed by public input. The master
planning effort evaluated roadways and parking, trail systems, park amenities, conceptual entry monuments, pavilions and gathering spaces, and
overall space planning to optimize development while preserving the park’s aesthetic and character for surrounding neighborhoods and the City of Fort
Worth. Phase 1 construction will focus on developing park amenities west of Beach Street. Anticipated Phase 1 amenities include soccer fields, a
playground, public restrooms, concessions, and parking facilities.
