Keep Fort Worth up to code. As a Code Compliance Officer, you’ll help keep Fort Worth’s neighborhoods safe, livable, and looking their best. From ensuring building standards to addressing zoning and property concerns, you’ll be the frontline in protecting the integrity and quality of our community.
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred
- High School Diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in code enforcement, building codes, and zoning regulations or related field.
- One year of general experience in building or construction trades, zoning, or enforcement of local, state and federal laws or regulations.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a State of Texas Code Enforcement Officer or Officer in Training Certificate within eighteen months of hire.
- Customer service experience handling escalated customer complaints and dispute resolution experience.
- Experience maintaining an active case load and achieving established quantitative performance benchmarks.
