The drive-thru vaccine clinic at Texas Motor Speedway in far north Fort Worth set a new record Thursday, providing 17,003 COVID-19 vaccines and breaking all previous vaccination clinic records, including one set April 14 with 14,947.

Thursday’s totals could potentially set a new national record for the most vaccines given at a single clinic location in one day.

The TMS site will reopen May 8. The clinic is staffed by Denton County Public Health, City of Fort Worth and FEMA.

All adults in Texas are eligible for the vaccination. Register for a vaccination appointment.

Vaccination clinics are by appointment only. Any Texan can register with any provider across the state. It is acceptable to register with multiple providers through their respective websites.
